Aba Red Win 13th Title

Nkana FC won their 13th title after Forest Rangers were held to a 0-0 draw by Zanaco FC at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Forest Rangers needed an outright win to seal their first league title and were motivated earlier on in the day by Lusaka Province Minister Bowman Lusambo who posted pictures of himself clad in Forest Rangers gear with a scarf.

Zanaco FC entered the match with nothing to play for but looked the better side for the opening minutes of the first half until later in

the game when Forest looked to have earned a penalty through Lameck Silwaba but it was waved on.

The second half saw Forest desperately attacking The Bankers but their frontline of Adams Zikiru and Quadri Kola failed to make an impact as the match ground to a halt at 0-0.

The result means that Forest Rangers end on 50 points which is the same number as Nkana FC but Aba Red have a better goal difference which mean they top the league and have sealed their 13th title.
